FinnGen Will Invite 6000 Sample Donors for New Surveys by Using the New MyBiobank Portal
MyBiobank Portal is a service developed by FINBB in collaboration with the biobanks, hospital districts and FinnGen-research project. MyBiobank is digital service portal which makes communication between biobanks, researchers, and study participants efficient and safe.

Six thousand biobank sample donors who are part of the FinnGen study will get an invitation to participate in new questionnaire surveys in the near future. This is the first additional study of FinnGen in which the participants are contacted directly through the biobanks. The study utilizes the new MyBiobank digital service. Auria Biobank, Helsinki Biobank and Tampere Biobank will take part in this first additional study, each biobank will send 2000 invitations to biobank sample donors. Study participants will be called to take part in the new study which consists of two inquiries, a questionnaire investigating lifestyle and other health related information and another survey of functional tests which measure, among others, reaction rates and power of deduction.
