Fingenious^® Service for Researchers

What is Fingenious^®service?

Fingenious^® digital portal functions as the one-stop window to the samples and biodata of Finnish public biobanks. The portal provides access to the biobank samples, phenotype and genotype data and recontacting sample donors with a prior consent for further biomedical studies. The service is managed by Finnish Biobank Cooperative -FINBB. FINBB also provides connections with Finnish clinical experts and researcher scientists in various therapeutic areas.

Fingenious^® portal serves researchers all over the world, allowing them to perform quick sample and data queries by browsing the biobank collections and to reach all the public biobanks in Finland with a centralized feasibility and access request, and one contract.

What can biobank collections and services be used for?

Biobank collections and services available via Fingenious^® are suitable for research studies that are conducted for the purpose of health promotion, understanding of disease mechanisms, or the development of products and treatment practices for healthcare.

The biobank sample collections comprise over 11 million human biological samples and data associated to them. All biobanks have their own unique specialties regarding sample collections and areas of expertise.
