Services for FINBB Members

The services provided by FINBB for its members include:

IT system services

• Fingenious^® services, such as availability catalogue, feasibility and access request tools

• MyBiobank portal - surveys (in piloting phase)

• Data storage platform with CSC

• Development of common services for the biobanks
  

Communication and marketing

• Promotion of the common interests of the biobank operators in various decision-making and expert forums, international events and as a part of FinnGen cooperation

• Digital marketing to highlight the offerings of biobanks internationally

• Visibility in FINBB's communications, for example on FINBB's website

• Customer relationship management and the development of a common customer relationship management process
  

Administrative services

• Funding applications and financial management

• Preparation of joint legislative statements by biobank operators

• Biobank meetings to develop common processes and activities

The purpose of the services is to enable the efficient research use of the collections of the member biobanks. The services are agreed on in framework agreements or on a service-by-service basis.

FINBB also acts as the national coordinator of the BBMRI-ERIC biobank network upon appointment by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
